F.A.Q.
I purchased URLBase 5 some time ago and wish to upgrade to URLBase 6. Do I need to pay an upgrade fee?
No, all registered users of URLBase are entitled to a free upgrade.
As a registered user, will I also be entitled to a free upgrade to a future version of URLBase?
Yes, the URLBase license you purchased is valid for every major URLBase release. You never have to pay an upgrade fee.
I lost my personal registration details and now I can't download and/or use URLBase. What should I do?
Please contact us using the
support request form and we'll send your personal registration details a.s.a.p.
Does URLBase 6 support separators?
Yes, support for separators was introduced in URLBase 6 Professional Edition Update 2 (version 6.0.0.1042). URLBase 6 Personal Edition does not support separators.
Does URLBase 6 support Unicode?
Yes, URLBase 6 supports Unicode on Windows NT 4/2000/XP/2003/Vista
Which browsers does URLBase support?
No, URLBase does not support these browsers.
Unfortunately this is a limitation of Opera, not URLBase.
Currently only Mozilla, FireFox, Netscape and Opera support tabbed browsing. Unfortunately these browsers do not allow an external application (like URLBase) to control how URLs are opened.
Tip: FireFox can be configured to open URLs from external applications in a new tab:
- Launch FireFox
- Click the Tools menu and select Options
- In the left list, click Advanced
- Find the option Open links from other applications in and set it to "a new tab in the most recent window"
- Click OK to apply the setting
I miss certain functionality in URLBase 6. Can I contact you about this?
I sent you a feature request some time ago but the requested functionality is still not available. How come?
All feature requests are carefully reviewed and considered for implementation. Once we've decided what to do with your feature request, we will contact you via e-mail and explain the reasons behind our decision. If we decide to implement your feature request we will try to do so within our existing schedule. Unfortunately it is possible that, due to time restrictions, unforeseen issues or events out of our control, we are forced to reschedule the implementation to a later release. We never cancel a granted feature request without contacting you. Please feel free to contact us using the
Support request form to ask for more information regarding your feature request.
