NetRouser

F.A.Q.

I purchased NetRouser some time ago and wish to upgrade to NetRouser 2. Do I need to pay an upgrade fee?
No, all registered users of NetRouser are entitled to a free upgrade.
As a registered user, will I also be entitled to a free upgrade to a future version of NetRouser?
Yes, the NetRouser license you purchased is valid for every major NetRouser release. You never have to pay an upgrade fee.
I lost my personal registration details and now I can't download and/or use NetRouser. What should I do?
Please contact us using the support request form and we'll send your personal registration details a.s.a.p.
Why can’t I create a new database?
NetRouser uses a single database which is automatically created when you first start-up NetRouser.
Why can’t I save changes I made to the database?
NetRouser automatically saves the changes made to the database as they occur.
I tried activating one of the computers in the database but it didn't work. What's wrong?
Make sure you read the Wake On LAN requirements topic in the NetRouser help file and check if the computer you are trying to activate meets these requirements. Double check all the hardware settings (including the network) and make sure you have installed the latest drivers for your network interface card (NIC). Use the NetRouser Monitor to check if the Wake On LAN packets arrive at the target subnet. If everything fails, please visit the Terria Development Support forums to find information or to request assistance.
When I start-up NetRouser I get the error message: "NetRouser is unable to start-up because your user account does not include administrative privileges!" What's wrong?
Many features of NetRouser require administrative privileges in order to work. This is a security restriction of the Windows operating system.
